The minister Elizabeth Youngson graduated from King’s college, Aberdeen in 1993 with B.D. Honours. She is happily married to Graeme and they have two grown up married children; Fiona and Steven.  She thoroughly enjoys being a wife, mother and is a very happy and proud grandmother.


She was a church elder before she became a minister.   (She would say,’ we are all ministers’) When asked why she is a minister, she replied ‘My love for Christ and my love for people propel me’.  She has a Diploma in Counselling.  She is a member of SCND www.banthebomb.org and SCANA (Scottish Clergy Against Nuclear Arms) www.scana.org.uk  Elizabeth is also an associate member of the Iona Community. www.iona.org.uk


Her interests include reading, obviously theology. Her favourite book at the moment is ‘Jesus through Middle Eastern Eyes’ (Cultural studies in the Gospels) by Kenneth. E. Bailey.  She doesn’t have much time for watching television but when she does she enjoys Masterchef, gardening, wild life programmes and documentaries.  She gets great pleasure from gardening and cooking and loves it when her family and friends come to stay.  She keeps fit by walking the dog, swimming and yoga.
